Adidas agregará 2800 nuevos empleados este año en comercio minorista, digital

Adidas plans to hire more than 2,800 new employees this year across 307 locations and 47 countries through a combination of backfilling vacancies and adding new positions to its rolls. The massive hiring initiative comes amid historic workforce turnover that has been particularly pronounced among frontline workers, with the retail sector one of the most heavily impacted.

Adidas currently employs approximately 62,000 people worldwide. The majority of the new positions — more than 900 — are destined for the front lines at Adidas retail stores, with another 500 positions designated for the areas of digital, IT, and data and analytics. The sporting goods manufacturer also will continue to hire in the area of sustainability, after doubling the number of jobs in that area last year. And the company plans to award more than 50 positions for apprenticeships or dual studies in Germany starting this fall.

“We want to set standards as an employer,” said Amanda Rajkumar, the Adidas Executive Board Member responsible for human resources, people and culture in a statement. “We go above and beyond every day to create an attractive working environment for our employees.”
