Nordstrom opening indoor ‘Christmas tree lots’

Nordstrom has entered into a partnership with a company known for its meticulously designed, realistic-looking artificial Christmas Trees.

The department store retailer has partnered with Balsam Hill to create Christmas tree lots in select Nordstrom stores. A first-time partnership for both companies, it is also the first time Balsam Hill has offered trees through a brick-and-mortar retail partner, and the first time Nordstrom has sold a full Christmas tree assortment.

Twenty-one Nordstrom stores in 13 states, including the retailer’s Manhattan flagship and location at Mall of America, will showcase up to 20 different Balsam Hill trees. Virtual and in-store tree events will be offered throughout the holiday season and will be shared through social media.

«This is the perfect partnership because our companies’ commitment to our customers and focus on high-quality merchandise is very similar,» said Claire Magat, chief people officer and head of growth, Balsam Hill. «Christmas tree lovers across the country now have an opportunity to see our wide variety of realistic trees in person.»
