The home improvement giant Lowe’s will open its first outlet store in the state in Irving this year, a spokesman for the company said.

The Lowe’s Outlet, at 3500 West Airport Freeway, will take the place of a former Lowe’s that closed in 2019, and will sell scratch-and-dent appliances at discounted prices.

Spokesman Pedro Chen said in an email that the company is still finalizing details, including when the store will open, but that it will “carry more than 1,000 new, carefully inspected scratch-and-dent appliances” with manufacturers’ warranties.

In addition, the outlet will offer a small selection of appliance accessories, such as dryer vents and refrigerator filters.

The first Lowe’s Outlet opened in Monrovia, Calif., in 2019, offering discounted scratch-and-dent appliances, such as stoves, microwaves and refrigerators.
