CS Hudson recently hosted its fourth annual Live. Love. Laugh., an immersive retail experience, to benefit the children of Help USA’s Help Suffolk Chapter, a homeless housing facility on Long Island. The event, held at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead, N.Y. in December 2021, bussed in children to grab their favorite toys and take part in live activities in a pop-up shopping experience.
This year’s event implemented a BOPIS selection process to keep the children safe and stay consistent with the modern retail environment. The children selected their toys online for CS Hudson to prepack and make available at the event’s Winter Wonderland Toyshop. The children also were able to experience a selfie station and a custom digital e-gaming experience, and to select two grab-and-go items in addition to their online selection.
Live. Love. Laugh was created to provide children with homeless families positive and impactful experiences. Approximately 60,000 families, or 7.4 out of every 10,000 in the country, are in crisis shelters on any given night. CS Hudson has been hosting Live. Love. Laugh. and similar events through the Pop-Ups For Good program since its launch in 2018.
In addition to Tanger Outlets, CS Hudson’s event partners include Medallion Retail, which helped with experience, design and visual elements; Monster XP, which helped with store tech and the visual experience; Fast Signs, which helped with visual graphics; Bentley Mills, which helped with flooring; and Long Island Flooring Professionals, which helped with flooring installation.
