This year’s Conference theme is “Leading in an Omnichannel World,” and we’ve divided our content into 5 all-new tracks dedicated to helping you assume that leadership position. In this week’s blog, we’ll take a look at each of those 5 new content tracks and let you know what to expect as we start to reveal our speaker lineup in the next couple of weeks!

So, without further ado, here are our 5 all-new tracks for the 2022 CMA|SIMA Annual Conference.

Track 1: Learning and Adopting CatMan 3.0

We are currently in the midst of rolling out one of the most significant updates ever to the CatMan process with CatMan 3.0: Omnichannel Category Management. Learning and adopting these new steps to adjust to the new omnichannel retail reality is a critical step for success for both retailers and manufacturers going forward.

In our first track, “Learning and Adopting CatMan 3.0” we’ll offer deep-dive sessions on the various steps of the new CatMan 3.0 process, including internal and external alignment, scorecarding, and tactics. Troubleshoot through adopting 3.0 with the actual members that worked on these steps and prepare yourself for omnichannel success in the new retail reality.

Track 2: Insights and Shopper Immersion

Shopper Insights continues to evolve as more and better data points become available and analytical tools improve. Many organizations are really just getting off the ground with their insights capabilities. This track is dedicated to helping you establish sure footing with a foundation built on the industry best practices.

Our “Insights and Shopper Immersion” track will feature sessions focusing on specific case studies and real-time insights sharing to help support organizations who conduct or are adopting shopper insights research.

Track 3: Retailer-Specific Insights and Best Practices

Retailers are facing many new challenges in today’s COVID-era marketplace. The market has shifted more toward eCommerce than ever before and omnichannel proficiency is quickly becoming table stakes. At the same time, traditional in-house roles have shifted to remote and vendor dynamics have been turned on their head. We’ve dedicated an entire track to helping retailers address these very specific pain points.

In our “Retailer-Specific Insights and Best Practices” track, sessions will be geared specifically toward retailers on topics including managing teams, working with vendors, running an eCommerce business, and more.

Track 4: Organizational and Professional Development

COVID-19 changed workplace dynamics forever. New knowledge, skills and tools are necessary to set your organization up for success, going forward. CMA & SIMA have been keeping a finger on the pulse of the industry, communicating with key stakeholders and finding resources to help you succeed in the new paradigm.

Our fourth track, “Organizational and Professional Development,” features sessions that include resources to aid in career development, team management skills, remote/hybrid work best practices, and other related topics.

Track 5: Leveraging Technology for Success

New and developing technologies, particularly AI/ML and automation, are rapidly changing the world as we know it. Professionals across nearly every industry are being forced to learn and adapt or be left behind. On the other hand, early adopters put themselves and their organizations in particularly advantageous positions to win in a time of change.

Hear from experts in our “Leveraging Technology for Success” track. This group will spotlight cutting edge CatMan and Shopper Insights solutions, discuss the adoption of AI/ML (Machine Learning) and VR (Virtual Reality) on our industry, and other exciting developments.

We couldn’t be more excited to bring you this incredible lineup of all-new content at the 2022 CMA|SIMA Annual Conference. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we begin to reveal our keynote and breakout speakers and sessions for the show! Be sure and reserve your spot at our 2022 Conference today.
